A camera-first tracker. Point at the plate for an AI estimate you confirm in two taps, or scan a barcode or nutrition label to get exact published figures instead. Built around the idea that a photo estimate is an estimate, with cuisine coverage beyond American food databases. New, and small.

Which one to pick

Choose Carb Manager: Keto & Macro Log if

you are doing keto or low carb seriously. Net carbs, fibre and sugar alcohols are first-class citizens there and an afterthought almost everywhere else, including here, and the recipe library is built for that way of eating.

Choose KalTrack if

you are counting calories and the big three macros rather than running a specific dietary protocol.

The verdict

If you are eating ketogenically, Carb Manager is the specialist and specialists win. Net carb calculation, sugar alcohol handling, fibre subtraction and keto-appropriate targets are core to the product rather than bolted on, and the recipe library assumes your constraints instead of fighting them.

KalTrack tracks calories, protein, carbs and fat. It does not compute net carbs, does not treat sugar alcohols specially, and has no keto mode. On a strict protocol that is a real gap and you should take it seriously.

Where KalTrack has an argument is the everyday logging of cooked food. Photographing a plate and confirming a portion is faster than searching, and if a low-carb diet mostly means you are eating meat and vegetables you cooked yourself, there is not much barcode scanning to do — which is exactly the situation a camera handles well.

Still, on the merits: strict keto, use Carb Manager. General calorie and macro awareness with occasional low-carb leanings, a fast general tracker will serve you better than a specialist you are constantly working around.

Method: figures come from each app's public App Store listing on the day this page was built, and from each app's own published pricing. Features were checked against the apps' own descriptions. We make KalTrack, so treat this as our account of the difference, not a review.
